The history of Fazenda Bom Retiro and the Thera Winery begin to be drawn more than two decades before their official establishment, when the first vineyards were planted on the property with a special ingredient: the passion for wines that express personality and translate into elegance.
The 800-hectare property is in the municipality of Bom Retiro (SC), just 145 km from the state capital, Florianópolis. It is surrounded by lush native fauna and flora and welcomes visitors in search of wine tourism experiences, adventures in the midst of nature and the striking landscapes or those who just want to disconnect from the large urban centers.

Fazenda Bom Retiro Inn was inaugurated in 2018 and since then it has been a haven for those seeking comfort, warmth and inner connection with oneself and nature. All this next to the Thera’s vineyard, one of the most beautiful and important in the Serra Catarinense.
Among the exclusive experiences that guests can enjoy are waking up to the sound of birds and with a beautiful view of araucarias and mountains, having breakfast with honey from their own cultivation, walking, cycling or riding among the vineyards, enjoying a sunny day by the pool, having a picnic and admiring the sunset, savoring mountain cuisine or simply reading a book in front of the fireplace. All fuelled by glasses of great wine from the Thera Winery.
With private access, the guest house has beautiful views of the local landscape and vineyards and is a few steps from Thera Wine Bar.

There are eighteen suites in the midst of nature’s green, a wellness complex with
fitness, sauna and massage room, as well as an outdoor pool, indoor heated pool and the laid-back Pergola Bar & Bistro. Everythingmimicked amongst nature to cause the least possibleintervention in the environment and enhance the local characteristics.
Suites are divided into four categories: Luxury, Master, Superior and Premium. Theyare equipped with king size bed, bathtub, fireplace, heated floor, among other amenities, andare a few meters from the living areas, such as the lounge – which offers rest, games table andcentral cellar –, and the wellness complex.

The most prominent exclusive experience of the Inn is the visits to the vineyards of the Thera Winery followed by the tasting of altitude wines produced there: a unique practice for lovers of wine, art and nature.
The whole tour is guided by a sommelier, who tells a little about the history and varieties of grapes planted on the estate. It is the ideal moment for you to ask, clear out doubts and learn about this universe. Then, in a tasting room, you watch the video about the vineyard’s project and taste four of our labels with small harmonizations.
